“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”King James Version (KJV)
On Thursday, August 13, Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen and Chief Provincial Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin released WELCOMING OUR STUDENTS BACK: RESTORING SAFE SCHOOLS COVID-19 K–12 School Settings Practice Guidance and Protocols. All Public and Funded Independent Schools have been mandated to create a September entry plan following strict Public Health Guidelines. ACA will be updating this plan and sharing all changes with families and staff as the days grow closer to the students’ return. On Monday, August 17th the plan will be delivered to the government and provided to you through various school media.
While the health and safety of our community continues to be our top priority, ACA will continue to advocate for our school’s specific needs and goals unique to a small school population in a rural setting.
Below is a link to a document explaining the current government guidelines, as well as ACA’s plan in keeping with the recommendations put in place by the government.
Because of the dedication, planning and hard work the ACA administration has done this summer we are still within the set guidelines and do not require students in any grade to use a mask in the classroom.
